THE SMART SCHOOL ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT WAS PRESENTED AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN BUCHAREST

The world’s leading architects were invited to Bucharest by the Union of Architects of Romania to introduce their work to Romanian colleagues. The experiences of the USA, Finland, Germany, Great Britain and Russia were presented at the conference.

The organizers chose the Smart School project in Irkutsk as an example not only of modern advanced solutions in school architecture, but also of a meaningful interaction between the client and the architect. Therefore, the architectural concept of the project was presented by all three developers.

At first, Mark Sartan, Smart School CEO, spoke of educational challenges to be solved by the architectural and spatial environment. Following was the talk by Alyona Zhmurova, Senior Consultant, Strelka KB, who shared with the audience the technical specifications and the results of the International Competition for the development of the architectural concept. Finally, the actual architectural solution was presented by Carsten Primdahl, Head of CEBRA, the Danish architectural bureau.
